Twin Red Algae

Chondrus crispus or Irish moss, Gigartina stellata or false Irish moss

These two species of red algae grow abundantly along the rocky shores of the European Atlantic coast. Chondrus crispus and Gigartina stellata are very similar in appearance, hence the name ‘twin red algae‘. Since they occur in the same natural environment, both species offer almost identical skincare benefits and are equally gentle on the skin.
