Shell
Mussel Sediment
The shell sediment for our DALTON products comes from the French Atlantic coast. It is obtained from a depth of 30 meters using sustainable methods.
Mussels live on the ocean floor. Depending on the type of mussel, some are grown to riffs or the ground and some are floating around in the water. They are masters in the art of surviving – some live as long as 100 years. They get their food from the seawater, which gives them a whole variety of nutrients.
From ancient times to today, shells have been used as jewelry, including bracelets and earrings.
Shells are cosmetically relevant because they are rich in calcium carbonate and have a detoxifying effect. They strengthen the connective tissue and re-mineralize the skin.
Shell is one of the six interactive ingredients in our exclusive Celumer Marine Extract.
