The evergreen mango tree belongs to the sumac family (Anacardiaceae). It grows up to 15 meters high. Its fruit hangs from the tree on long, thin stems and can weigh up to 2 kg.
The precious mango butter is extracted from the kernels of mango fruits. They contain about 13% of oil that is very well tolerated by the skin. That is why mango butter is also used for baby care products and lip balms.
Mango butter has regenerating and lipid regulating properties. It protects the skin against moisture loss and helps to keep it nice and supple.
